I ended up buying a truck that was a collector’s item.
I didn’t know a lot about trucks when I bought the vehicle, so I took the truck to a specialty shop to have a tune-up service performed. During the tune-up, I knew that the skilled mechanic would check all of the systems and let me know if there were any pressing issues. I was trusting the word of the mechanic, so I made sure to call around. I wanted to be sure that I used the best customization shop for the truck. There was some work that I wanted to get done and I wanted to make sure that the skilled mechanics had experience working with the vehicle that I purchased. I was happy to see a long row of the same make and model of my vehicle inside of the shop. It looks like they were the right place to take my truck after seeing all of the vehicles that they were servicing. I didn’t worry too much after that and I left my truck there overnight so the customization shop could give me an estimate and a tune-up and oil change. I honestly expected a lot more problems and repairs. I was surprised that the only major issues were the front end and the suspension. The truck had more than 200,000 miles but it was well cared for by the previous owner. Only one previous owner is one of the biggest reasons why I thought the mileage wasn’t terribly important.
