The accident at work

I landed right on the pavement and during the fall I broke my arm

When you work in the heating and air conditioning industry, you could say that what you do is a dangerous job. After all, you are often dealing with multiple electrical components and sometimes if you have to repair a HVAC system that is on the roof you will need to climb up there to fix it. 2 weeks ago I was tasked with fixing an air conditioning system that has stopped working. It was an AC unit that was on the roof. I had done this many times before so for me it was just business as usual, plus I wasn’t afraid of heights so I didn’t even think about the possibility of something going wrong. Looking back at it, I guess you could say that everything was set up to go wrong. It had been raining all day that day and everything was wet and slippery. Nevertheless, I grabbed my ladder and climbed up on the roof as usual. I got to the AC unit and quickly identified the problem and went to grab my tools to fix it only to realize that I had accidentally left my tools on the ground. I still have to go and climb down the ladder to grab my tools but I lost my footing and slipped and fell straight off the roof. I landed right on the pavement and during the fall I broke my arm. I was lucky that I broke an arm was all I had. Whatever it is because of my entry that I will not be doing any Heating and cooling work for a while.
