I had a real frighten the other morning that has changed the way I do things in the car.
I was driving home from work while it was raining.
My window was fogging up pretty poor so I was fumbling with the temperature control settings & drying to get the defrost to work. I needed to crank the gas furnace up to help clear the foggy windows. Of course, while I was messing with the temperature control settings, I ended up driving through a flooded area of the road. Honestly, I almost flew off the road even though I was able to get through the water alright. I absolutely should have had the oil furnace & the defrost laboring before I left work, even though I was in such a rush I didn’t think about it. When I told our wife about what happened, she kept asking myself and others if I was alright. I didn’t crash or anything, even though I could have been killed if I had flown off the road & hit a tree or something. Or I could have got into a collision on the road from drifting into someone else’s lane. My wife agrees with myself and others though that we have to adjust the temperature control settings before getting on the road so that we can stay absolutely focused on the road & not get into any accidents. The people I was with and I have been thinking about having youngsters too, so I think when we do, I will be telling our youngsters about safety on the road too. I don’t want anybody to be foolish on the road savor I was, especially any of our children.
