Some tips for your portable Heating as well as Air Conditioning units

After several years of owning numerous portable space furnaces & window air conditioners, I have l earned a few things about safety with these units, however first I will discuss the portable space heaters, and while they are really nice to have around the apartment & I appreciate to keep 1 in our standing area to keep our feet warm, there are a few fire hazards you can definitely avoid.

The first is to keep the space oil furnace away from any fabric; I once had 1 of our grandchildren move our portable space oil furnace next to our couch so it was blowing tepid air directly on our fabric couch, then every one of us didn’t suppose anything of it until the people I was with and I smelled something burning & found a hole in the couch from the space heater.

The next tip is to keep it away from children, as our last tip pointed toward this, when a portable space oil furnace is running, it gets really tepid & can burn an unsuspecting child really badly, but next let’s go over window air conditioners. I have heard of a usual problem with several people’s window air conditioners which can be definitely avoided if you used usual sense. First, make sure there is nothing under the back side of the air conditioner because it leaks water. I didn’t suppose that window air conditioners leak water until after it leaked all over our closed in porch… You could put a bag or something to catch the condensation, just don’t forget to empty it often, lastly for window air conditioners, make sure you check the air filters often as they tend to over fill & cause lots of concerns.
