I need to stop procrastinating all the time

I am such a procrastinator when it comes to certain things. I wait to finish large presentations for work until the night before. When I was still in school, I waited to study and do my homework up until the last possible hour. Even when my husband and I were getting married, I waited until the morning of the ceremony to write my vows! This bad habit carries over to how I take care of my house. For example, I know that I need to get our central A/C tuned up correctly before we start using it in the summertime. Every single Spring when the weather starts heating up outside, I am reminded that it’s time to call our local Heating and Conditioning business to make a cooling system maintenance appointment. I don’t have a reasonable excuse for putting it off at all. I should really just go ahead and call the HVAC dealer to set up the appointment, however I don’t like being tied down. I don’t want to have to wait around to meet an HVAC worker to let him in the house, as well as I don’t want to have to pay for a heating and cooling maintenance bill. My husband gets so mad at me for procrastinating about it, and he says that it will cost us a whole lot more if the cooling system tears up because it hasn’t been taken care of properly. I guess he has a point, and I’m the one who is supposed to take care of this stuff at home because he travels so much. I guess I will just have to go ahead and make myself do it. But maybe I’ll wait until next month when the temperature is going to be higher.
