Always keep back up booze in my HVAC work truck

When I was growing up my family talked a lot about the indoor air temperature control industry. Honestly, I come from a family that is fairly obsessed with temperature control systems and air quality devices. This is because my grandpa started a profitable heating, cooling, and air quality control dealership in the area almost 50 years ago. Since he opened the heating, cooling, and ventilation repair shop almost everybody in the family began working in the HVAC industry. It was assumed that every one of the grandkids would continue on with this tradition of becoming a heating and cooling technician. Unfortunately, I never had any interest in the heating and cooling industry. Every time my family was talking about indoor air handling devices, energy efficient air quality control systems, or the newest HVAC equipment on the market I completely zoned out. I’ve never cared about ductwork, thermostat, or the actual air temperature control appliances. Unfortunately, I didn’t have a choice when it came time to choose my career. My parents forced me into heating and cooling repair school and I became a certified HVAC technician within 2 years. To this day, I am miserable. I’m glad that I get to drive around in the heating and cooling truck all day by myself because it allows me some freedom from the HVAC industry. That being said, I do worry about my liver as a function of my dissatisfaction in the heating and cooling field. Not a day goes by that I leave for my HVAC technician job without a bottle of booze in the work truck.
