I was absolutely blown away when I first bought my new home.
I thought it was a nice place, of course a bit of a fixer upper. The thing is, I didn’t realize the extent of how much work needed to be done. I really wished that somebody had told the previous home owners how to take care of their home. I came to find that the ductwork system was entirely clogged up. There was no way to use the HVAC system because it was too clogged for the heating or air conditioning to come out from the air vents. I ended up getting the ductwork cleaning done and the HVAC professionals said they never had such a serious HVAC ductwork cleaning before. They were in total disbelief with how clogged the HVAC ducts were, they had never seen anything like it. They did an excellent job though removing all of the debris from the ductwork. They also performed a tune-up on the HVAC system and it was actually in working order after that. I was happy that I didn’t have to upgrade the whole HVAC system as that would have been seriously expensive. There were a bunch of things I had to do though like getting new carpeting throughout the house, having the roof patched up before I could afford to get a new roof, and I had to get a chimney sweep for the fireplace. I also need to work on getting all the wallpaper off the walls and painting everything. It’s going to be a challenge, but I am up for it!
