I wanted someone to come now and I didn't care if it was expensive

A couple of years ago, the AC unit in my home stopped working in the middle of the night.

I was devastated when I woke up covered in sweat.

I had a strange feeling that the AC unit wasn’t working and I was right. I didn’t have any idea what to do to fix the problem, so I immediately called a local AC system repair service. It was the middle of the night, but the AC repair service was open 24 hours. I was surprised when the woman on the phone told me that it was going to cost extra to have someone come to the rescue immediately. I certainly didn’t anticipate paying an extra fee since they were open 24 hours, but I wanted someone to come at that time and I didn’t care if it was expensive. I agree to pay the extra fee which was actually only $20. I probably would have paid $100 at that time. That AC repair technician told me that the system needed to be cleaned and the guy performed a full service system check. The evaporator coils were filled with dust and grime and that was the reason why the AC wasn’t properly cooling. The technician told me that I need to have the system cleaned more frequently to keep the problem from happening in the future. Altogether, I paid a repair and service bill that was almost $200 and that price included a new motor belt. I honestly didn’t mind paying the bill once I felt cold air coming out of those air vents.
