I learned about SEER ratings

I was online looking up some energy saving help when I came across SEER ratings.

I entirely knew that it was my A/C system that uses up most of the electricity in the house.

What else would explain the fact that our electric bill is almost twice as much in the Summer as it is in the winter, and after all, we live in a mediterranean climate. So our winters are very mild and wet and our summers are warm and dry. We might use the heating system for a month in the winter time and we use the A/C system for months on end in the summer. There absolutely is no way around it. We have to be cool and comfortable. I pulled out our seasoned owners manual for our HVAC idea and I was able to calculate the SEER rating for the house based on the information there. I assume that the SEER ratings change over the years for the worse so it is really not an accurate number. However, it gave me a rough estimate! Let me tell you, the SEER rating in my HVAC idea is terrible. Less than a quarter of what newer HVAC units are rated at this time. I absolutely believe my family might save a lot of energy if we have a whole new HVAC idea installed in the house. I bet we would have enough energy savings that the new HVAC component would spend my money for itself in just a few years. I’m going to call up HVAC corporation in addition to see what kind of deals they can split us.
