New HVAC machines have really good energy savings

I bet we would have enough energy savings that the current HVAC device would pay for itself in just a few years

I was online looking up some energy saving help when I came across SEER ratings, and I really knew that it was our air conditioner that uses up most of the electricity in the house. What else would explain the fact that our electric bill is almost twice as much in the summer time as it is in the winter? After all, all of us live in a mediterranean climate, and so our winters are genuinely mild and wet and our summers are hot and dry. We might use the oil furnace for a week in the winter but we use the air conditioner for months on end in the summer. There genuinely is no way around it. We have to be cool and comfortable. I pulled out our outdated owners manual for our HVAC information there. I suppose that the SEER ratings change over the years for the worse so it is really not an accurate number. However, it gave me a rough estimate. Let me tell you, the SEER rating in our HVAC plan is terrible. Less than a quarter of what newer HVAC units are rated at this week. I genuinely think our family might save a lot of energy if we have a whole new HVAC plan installed in the house. I bet we would have enough energy savings that the current HVAC device would pay for itself in just a few years. I’m going to call up HVAC business and see what kind of deals they can cut us.
