We needed a different type of HVAC for our home

But, more importantly, geothermal heat pumps use a lot less electricity than typical HVAC systems do, however my house does have enough energy to power this sort of heat pump up, so that takes care of both our heating and cooling needs

When we bought this old house we were told upfront about the lack of heating and cooling, and it has no oil furnace, fireplace, or anything else intended to heat the house. It also has no cooling system at all. Apparently the previous owner was a miserly gentleman who only used one space gas furnace in the house all wintertime long and who just opened the windows when it was hot. That might work some sites however not here, and our warm seasons get unquestionably hot and it is not weird for there to be a few nights of snow in wintertime, and we thought we would just get a fresh heating and air conditioning install once we moved in, well that turned out to be more of a problem than the two of us anticipated. Apparently the wiring in this house can’t handle a typical HVAC system. I am unquestionably thankful that the HVAC rep the two of us hired did some tests and was upfront about it. We were seriously starting to think we had made a huge mistake when the same rep told us about energy saving heating and air conditioning systems. There are many energy saving heating and air conditioning systems to choose from but he told me the geothermal heat pump was really good. Geothermal heat pumps don’t work like typical forced air HVAC systems. To start with, they don’t have air ducts. But, more importantly, geothermal heat pumps use a lot less electricity than typical HVAC systems do, however my house does have enough energy to power this sort of heat pump up, so that takes care of both our heating and cooling needs. Now I just need to get it installed.
