I was pretty excited when I was able to buy a new home in the country with my family. There were a lot of renovations to be done and a few fixes needed, but overall this was a wonderful property. I learned quickly that we needed a dehumidifier because of all the rainstorms. The unfortunate thing is that these often become thunderstorms and the lightning and thunder around these parts is incredibly fierce. It’s not that I’m afraid of all the thunder, but it’s the inconvenience. Honestly, whenever there is a huge lightning strike nearby, it knocks the internet out every single time! This can be very frustrating because I work from home and I rely on my internet connection in order to take care of my work. This is not something I ever thought would be an issue, but the good news is that we never had any issues so far with the power going out. Of course eventually, I have been considering going for solar panels. I think it would be awesome if most of the energy that the HVAC system uses would be coming from solar panels. We will have much cheaper energy bills and who knows, maybe the utility company will be giving us refund checks because we are actually putting energy on the grid as opposed to using it. Things have been good living out here for the most part, I just have to get used to all the thunderstorms. I’m hoping eventually we can get access to an improved internet that doesn’t go out with each lightning strike.
