I work as a heating and AC technician and you would be amazed at how many people I have to tell the importance of heating and cooling tune-ups. I’ve met far too many people that don’t think that regular maintenance and service is important for their heating and cooling system. Naturally, not all people are like this and I know many people that take excellent care of their heating and AC system. There seems to be this misconception that a lot of heating and cooling workers just want to make more money from their customers by having them pay for unnecessary repairs and services. While this might be true with some not so great heating and AC businesses, a good Heating and cooling company will want to do what is right for the customer and not try to sell you things you don’t need. You have to keep in mind that your heating and air conditioning system is a machine, and like with any machine it will break down in the repairs and maintenance over time. This is why if you really maintain it and have it upgraded, you are giving your heating and air conditioning system the best chance of living its full life. Taking care of the HVAC system can easily last up to 20 years. This is far better than not maintaining it or servicing it and having to always rely on those costly repairs and many trips to the heating and a/c business. So do your part and maintain your heating and cooling system.
